Cinemas around Scarborough

Hollywood Plaza Cinema

159 N Marine Rd, Scarborough YO12 7HU, UK – 01723 507567

With all the longstanding entertainment venues in Scarborough shutting down and being replaced with nothing or very expensive attractions, it is a wonder this cinema has lasted so long but happily it is still functioning and providing a much appreciated service with new films changing regularly, helpful staff and fairly priced tickets and snacks, yes it's an bit dated but these are the types of cinemas I grew up with so no complaints from me and somewhere to have a family night out without breaking the bank is greatly appreciated. Thank you for being there.

Great little cinema. Great price for tickets and food and the staff are very good. Only downside to this place is the seats they are very comfortable after 30 minutes.

Theatres for Scarborough

Stephen Joseph Theatre

Westborough, Scarborough YO11 1JW, UK – 01723 370541

The play we saw (Di and Viv and Rose) was amusing at first, and then there a was a twist and it really got emotional. I did enjoy it. Also, I liked the placement of the stage - in the centre, the audience sit around.

A great old fashioned theatre. With bar and hot drinks. And many stages inside. You can reach out and touch the actors from the front row. So you really do feel like you are apart of the show.

YMCA Theatre

St Thomas St, Scarborough YO11 1DY, UK – 01723 506750

Great place with good people doing wonderful things. A boon to the Scarborough community.

This theatre is small but perfect for a show, the sound wasn't the best and the spot light operator was a bit slow off the mark. It gets really hot and can become tedious at times. There is a bar too.

Scarborough Open Air Theatre

Burniston Rd, Scarborough YO12 6PF, UK – 01723 818111

My favourite place ever.go every year.this open air theatre is shear heaven..very easy access.very professional management.top class acts..its very accessible for disabled with a disabled area.lots of food and drink stands and toilets...BUT..always pray for sunshine.....or pack a pacamac.cannot praise this venue enough

Great place. Excellent view of the stage from all areas. Easy access in and out.
