Visited today for emergency treatment after developing toothache on holiday (home is Devon). Although this was one time only visit, the dentist (Emma Skipper) and nurse were brilliant. Thoughtful, reassuring, cheerful. If only all dentists were like this. Thank you!
Had an emergency dentist appointment here at the weekend. I live in Beverley and couldn't get a appointment any closer. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist (let's be fair it's a scary place) however I felt very compatible here. Very friendly and calming dentist and receptionist. Thank you.

They were accepting new NHS patients early 2017. I have had a tooth crown fitted there recently, no problems whatsoever. Delighted to have found a local NHS dentist after a lengthy search.

It is more than a year that i am registered in this GP with my family, so far so good; But today, the end of september 2016, i waited more than 30 minutes to enter in the room 4, i state that when i arrived in total including me we were 3 patients in the waiting room and certainly there was not a single gp but at least 3-4. So i can say that this medical group lately is badly organized and there is not a supervisor who controls these doctors with little experience, and maybe they do expect their patients for to talk on the phone with some friends.
Brilliant surgery, you dont struggle like other practices to get appointments and at good times, not all 9-5! Highly recommend.

Woodlands Dr, Scarborough YO12 6QL, UK – 01723 368111
Had the misfortune to end up in A&E in the early hours of Saturday morning in acute pain. Within 10 minutes of arriving I was assessed and taken for treatment where 20 minutes later I was pain free. In comparison to Pinderfields A& E in Wakefield this is a 5 star hospital, far far better. Staff are great, free coffee, sandwiches and take the time to explain exactly what they are doing to you, what drugs they are treating you with and how they work. The follow up appointment a few weeks later went just as well with only a 20 minute wait.
ICU was amazing looking after my mum I couldn't ask for better staff Alison cullpepper was my hero she looked after my mum Diana Morris and was my back bone for the 2 wks my mum was with ICU sadly she passed away but I will be so thankful for all there support and courage xx

First, a qualification: I am not a fan of Pre-Raphaelite painting. Give me the Madonna in the Meadow or the Castelfranco Madonna rather than Prosperine or Ophelia. That said, I think I find Pre-Raphaelite stained glass more convincing than the oil paintings. Putting my taste to one side, this is an outstanding gallery of Pre-Raphaelite stained glass and painted decoration, which should be on the "must see" list of anyone with an interest in the genre or stained glass generally. St Martin-on-the-Hill is a High Victorian church designed by George Bodley, a pupil of George Gilbert Scott, and funded, principally, by Mary Craven, a South Cliff resident. It was Bodley's engagement of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co that led to the stunning decoration of the church. This is Scarborough's seemingly unsung Pre-Raphaelite gallery, as well as a substantial Anglican church. Here there are stained glass and paintings by Morris, Burne-Jones, Rosetti, Webb and Ford Madox Brown. The decoration has a unified feel, which heightens the experience of the church interior. The glass designs, compositions, colours - vibrant and dense, without over saturation - and details are very impactful. It is well worth consulting the Friends of St Martin's web site before visiting and not only to establish the church's opening times. There is a short guidebook (£3 when I visited) available in the church, which is very informative. There was a church volunteer arranging flowers by the altar when I was there. Her comments were direct and incisive, as you would expect from someone from Yorkshire, and she helpfully pointed out things I would otherwise have missed. I failed to get an adequate photograph of what is hailed in the guidebook as "perhaps the finest window in the church." By Ford Madox Brown and showing two events in St Martin's life, it is located in the parish office in the south side, west end of the church. Entrance to the church is at the west end of the south side.

Lovely chilled atmosphere and delicious food, had a 2 for 1 deal on main meals which is a bonus. Prompt service, but it was very quiet so that probably helped. Will happily go back.
Food was OK. Good priced deals which make it worthwhile though, so check online! Service was average, if not a little slow.
